Vintage Wiska Brass Wall Sconce Light With Shade

Imagine fixing this handsome sconce to the brick wall outside your coastal cottage or on the side of your boat and watching it cast that lovely warm glow at night. Our vintage wiska brass sconce brings real ship history into everyday spaces across the UK and Europe. It has that special mid-20th century charm with its wooden arm and wide saucer shade that makes people stop and look twice.

Yes, this light is perfect for anyone who loves authentic nautical style. Whether you are lighting a garden path in Cornwall, a yacht deck in the Mediterranean or adding character to a hallway in London, it fits right in and works beautifully.

Made from Solid Marine-Grade Brass

The body and shade are crafted from durable brass that has already proved itself at sea. The wooden arm projects the light nicely away from the wall, and the protective cage over the clear glass globe keeps the bulb safe while letting the light shine softly.

At 3.1 kilograms it feels properly solid and premium in your hands, not thin or lightweight like cheaper copies. We salvaged each one from working vessels in the mid-20th century and restored it carefully in Europe. You will notice small natural differences in the brass finish and patina – that is what makes yours truly unique and full of genuine maritime character.

Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.

Q: Is this a real old ship light or a new copy?

It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working vessels in the mid-20th century and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece carries genuine marks from its time at sea.

Q: Can I use it outside in the rain?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers happily use them on boats, garden walls and front doors all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to fit on the wall?

It fixes with simple screws. The wooden arm lets you position it at the perfect angle. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original fittings from ships.

Yes, we love sorting bulk orders for pubs, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will work out good pricing and delivery details.

Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle brass polish made for marine items. Many people actually like the natural weathered patina that develops – it makes the light look even more authentic.
