Vintage Brass Arm Bulkhead Wall Light Nautical

Imagine fixing this handsome light to the wall outside your coastal cottage or on the side of your boat and watching it cast that lovely warm downward glow at night. Our vintage brass arm bulkhead light brings real ship history into everyday spaces across the UK and Europe. It has that special mid-1900s charm with its projecting arm and protective cage that makes people stop and look twice.

Yes, this bulkhead light is perfect for anyone who loves authentic nautical style. Whether you are lighting a garden path in Cornwall, a yacht deck in the Mediterranean or adding character to a hallway in London, it looks right at home and works brilliantly.

Made from Solid Marine-Grade Brass

The whole fitting is crafted from high-quality solid brass that feels wonderfully heavy in your hands. At 2.8 kilograms you know straight away this is no lightweight copy – it has that reassuring premium build. The projecting arm directs light downward just like the original passageway lights used on working vessels in the mid-1900s.

We salvaged each one from ships, restored it carefully in Europe, and kept every mark of its sea-going life. The clear glass globe sits inside the strong brass cage that protects the bulb while letting the light shine beautifully. You will notice small natural differences in the brass colour and patina on every light – that is what makes yours special and truly one of a kind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send this heavy brass arm bulkhead light?

Yes, we wrap it really well in protective foam and place it in a strong double-walled box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely.

Q: Is this a real old ship light or a new copy?

It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working vessels and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece carries genuine marks from its time at sea.

Q: Can I use it outside in the rain?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers use them happily on boats, garden walls and exposed porches all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to fit on the wall?

It fixes with simple mounting points on the back bracket. The projecting arm lets you position it at the perfect angle. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original fittings from ships.

Q: Can I buy several for a restaurant or hotel?

Yes, we love doing bulk orders for bars, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will sort out good pricing and delivery details.

Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most of the time. For extra shine, a gentle brass polish meant for marine items works brilliantly. Many people actually prefer the natural patina that develops – it makes the light look even more authentic and lived-in.
