Vintage Brass Projecting Bulkhead Wall Light Nautical

The clever thing about this light is the way it sticks out from the wall at a proper 90-degree angle so the light shines down exactly where you need it. Our vintage brass projecting bulkhead light is one of those pieces that just works beautifully on brick walls, wooden cladding or the side of a boat. It has that strong mid-1900s ship look with its rectangular top section and protective brass cage over the clear glass globe, and it brings real maritime character without trying too hard.

Honestly, these lights always get noticed. They are genuine salvaged pieces from working vessels in the mid-1900s, so every one has its own little story from the sea. The brass has that warm colour that develops a soft natural patina, and the cage keeps everything safe while letting the light come through nicely.

Solid Brass with a Practical Projecting Arm

The whole fitting is made from high-quality solid brass that feels nice and heavy in your hands – 2.7 kg, so you know it is built for life at sea. The projecting arm is what makes it so useful because it directs the light downward just like the original passageway lights on ships back in the mid-1900s.

We salvaged each one from old vessels and restored it carefully in Europe. You will spot small natural differences in the brass finish on every light – that is what makes yours special and full of genuine sea-going character.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send this heavy brass projecting bulkhead light?

Yes, we wrap it really well in protective foam and put it in a strong double-walled box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it gets to you safely.

Q: Is this a real old ship light or a modern copy?

It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working vessels in the mid-1900s and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece has genuine marks from its time at sea.

Q: Can I use it outside in the rain?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Lots of customers use them on boats, garden walls and front doors all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to fit on the wall?

It fixes with simple mounting points on the back bracket. The projecting arm lets you position it at the perfect angle. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original ship fittings.

Q: Can I buy several for a restaurant or hotel?

Yes, we are happy to sort bulk orders for pubs, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will work out good pricing and delivery.

Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth does the job most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle brass polish for marine items. Many people actually like the natural patina that develops – it makes the light look even more authentic.
