Made from Solid Marine-Grade Brass

The whole fitting is crafted from high-quality solid brass that has already proved itself at sea. The wide dome shade and protective cage over the clear glass globe give that classic ship look. At 1.4 kilograms it feels nicely solid and premium – nothing lightweight or cheap here.

These lights originally hung in ship cabins and passageways in the mid-1900s. We salvaged each one and restored it carefully in Europe. You will notice small natural differences in the brass finish and patina on every light – that is what makes yours truly unique and full of genuine sea-going character.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send the vintage brass marine pendant light?

Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.

Q: Is this a real old ship light or a new copy?

It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working vessels in the mid-1900s and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece carries genuine marks from its time at sea.

Q: Can I use it in a damp area or on a boat?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers happily use them on yachts, garden rooms and exposed ceilings all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to hang from the ceiling?

It comes ready with a sturdy hook so you can hang it in seconds. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original fittings from ships. The E27 holder takes standard bulbs.

Q: Can I order several for a restaurant or yacht club?

Yes, we love sorting bulk orders for bars, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will work out good pricing and delivery details.

Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle brass polish made for marine items. Many people actually like the natural patina that develops – it makes the light look even more authentic.
