Authentic Vintage Oval Brass Marine Bulkhead Light with Cage

Yes, this oval brass bulkhead light is a genuine old antique that once lit the engine rooms of working ships at sea. It brings warm nautical charm and real character to homes all over the UK and Europe. Whether you mount it on a porch, in a cosy playroom, or outdoors by the pool, it looks absolutely right and adds that special maritime touch everyone loves.

One thing you will really notice is how solid and heavy it feels compared with cheap modern copies. The clear glass and strong protective cage give it that lovely industrial look that works beautifully indoors or outdoors.

Authentic Ship Salvage and Premium Brass Quality

This light is made from solid brass, the same tough material ships used because it stands up to sea air so well. It comes from the engine rooms of working cargo vessels from the 1950s. We reclaimed each one and gave it a gentle clean back here in Europe.

At 2.4 kilograms you will feel the proper heavy build straight away. Because these are real old antiques, every single light has its own little differences in colour and finish from its life at sea.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you pack these heavy brass items safely?

We put every oval brass bulkhead light into two strong boxes with plenty of protective foam. Everything is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely whether you live in the UK or anywhere else in Europe.

Is this light a real ship part or just a replica?

It is 100 percent real. Every light was taken from actual working ships and then carefully restored here in Europe.

Can I buy several for my restaurant or hotel?

Yes, of course. Just send us a message and we can offer you better prices for larger orders.

Will this oval brass bulkhead light cope with British weather?

Yes it will. The IP56 rating keeps out rain and spray, so it is ideal for coastal homes and outdoor spaces across the UK and Europe.

How easy is it to fit on the wall or ceiling?

It is very straightforward to mount either way up. We always suggest getting an electrician to rewire it properly when you put it up.

What if it is out of stock when I want to order?
