Picture fixing this lovely sconce next to your front door or on the side of your boat and watching it cast that soft warm light at night. Our vintage brass nautical sconce brings real ship history into everyday spaces across the UK and Europe. It has that classic projecting arm and protective cage that makes people stop and say “where did you get that?”
Yes, this light is perfect for anyone who loves authentic maritime style. Whether you are lighting a garden path in Devon, a yacht deck in the Mediterranean or adding charm to a hallway in London, it fits right in and works brilliantly outdoors or indoors.
Made from Solid Cast Brass
The whole fitting is cast from durable brass that has already proved itself at sea. The projecting arm holds the ribbed glass globe safely inside the removable brass cage. At 2.7 kilograms it feels properly solid and premium – nothing lightweight or cheap here.
These sconces originally lit passageways on working vessels in the mid-1900s. We salvaged each one and restored it carefully in Europe. You will notice small natural differences in the brass finish and patina – that is what makes yours truly unique and full of genuine sea-going character.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you pack and send the vintage brass nautical sconce?
Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.
Q: Is this a real old ship light or a new copy?
It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working vessels in the mid-1900s and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece carries genuine marks from its time at sea.
Q: Can I use it outside in the rain?
Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers happily use them on boats, garden walls and front doors all over the UK and Europe.
Q: How easy is it to fit on the wall?
It fixes with simple screws. The projecting arm lets you position it at the perfect angle. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original fittings from ships.
Q: Can I order several for a restaurant or hotel?
Yes, we love sorting bulk orders for pubs, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will work out good pricing and delivery details.
Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?
A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle brass polish made for marine items. Many people actually like the natural patina that develops – it makes the sconce look even more authentic.
