Vintage Ribbed Copper Deck Pendant Light

Imagine switching this on at dusk and watching the light play across those lovely horizontal ribs in the copper shade. Our ribbed copper pendant light brings that special glow straight from the decks of 1970s ocean liners into your everyday life across the UK and Europe. It is a high-quality reproduction that looks and feels just like the originals, but it is ready to enjoy right now.

Yes, this pendant is a real favourite for sailors, coastal families and anyone who loves authentic nautical style. Whether you are lighting up a yacht in the Mediterranean, a garden terrace in Devon or a cosy kitchen in Edinburgh, it adds warmth and character straight away.

Crafted from Premium Brass and Copper

The shade is made from solid copper with those beautiful horizontal ribs that create such a striking pattern when the light shines through. The top fitting is solid brass for classic contrast, and the large sturdy hook makes hanging it simple and secure. At 1.3 kilograms it feels properly weighted and premium – nothing flimsy here.

Every detail copies the deck lights that lit up ocean liners in the 1970s. The copper will naturally age and develop a soft patina that only makes it look better with time. Because these are carefully made reproductions with marine-grade materials, you get the authentic look and strength without searching for rare originals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send the ribbed copper pendant light?

Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.

Q: Is this an original old ship light or a new reproduction?

It is a high-quality new reproduction made in the exact style of authentic 1970s ocean liner deck lights. You get the classic look, strong build and ribbed detail, but as a fresh piece that is ready to use straight away.

Q: Can I use it outdoors on a boat or in the garden?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers happily use them on yachts, garden terraces and exposed porches all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to hang at home?

It comes ready with a large sturdy hook so you can hang it from a chain or beam in seconds. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring. The E27 holder takes standard bulbs so you can choose the light you like best.

Q: Can I order several for a restaurant or yacht club?

Yes, we love doing bulk orders for bars, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will sort out good pricing and delivery details for you.

Q: How do I keep the copper looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle copper polish made for marine items. Many people actually prefer the soft natural patina that develops – it makes the ribs look even more authentic and beautiful.
