Vintage Wiska 90 Degree Brass Bulkhead Light

The clever 90-degree arm on this light lets it extend neatly from the wall so the glass globe hangs clear and gives perfect illumination without crowding the space. Our vintage wiska brass bulkhead light is a genuine 1950s piece that brings real ship heritage into homes and boats across the UK and Europe. It has that classic Wiska look with its protective cage and warm brass finish that many people recognise from old cargo vessels.

Yes, this angled brass light works brilliantly in tight spots or where you need the glow to reach out a little further. It feels sturdy, looks handsome and adds proper nautical character wherever you mount it.

Made from Solid Brass with Classic Wiska Design

The entire fitting is crafted from high-quality solid brass that has already spent years at sea. The 90-degree arm gives it a distinctive profile and makes installation easy on any flat surface. At 1.6 kilograms it feels reassuringly heavy and well built – nothing lightweight or flimsy here.

These lights were fitted on working cargo ships in the 1950s by the German maker Wiska. We salvaged each one and restored it carefully in Europe. You will notice small natural differences in the brass patina and markings on every light – that is what makes yours truly unique and full of genuine maritime history.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send the vintage wiska brass bulkhead light?

Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.

Q: Is this a real old ship light or a new copy?

It is 100 per cent authentic, salvaged from working cargo vessels in the 1950s and carefully restored in Europe. Every piece carries genuine Wiska marks from its time at sea.

Q: Can I use it outdoors or in a damp area?

Yes, the IP56 rating means it handles rain, sea spray and dust without any trouble. Customers happily use them on boats, garden walls and exposed porches all over the UK and Europe.

Q: How easy is it to fit on the wall?

It fixes with three simple screw holes. The 90-degree arm lets you position the light exactly where you need it. We recommend getting a qualified electrician to check the wiring because these are original fittings from ships.

Q: Can I order several for a restaurant or yacht club?

Yes, we love sorting bulk orders for pubs, hotels, yacht clubs or coastal homes. Just send us a message and we will work out good pricing and delivery details.

Q: How do I keep the brass looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps it clean most days. For extra shine you can use a gentle brass polish made for marine items. Many people actually like the natural patina that develops – it makes the light look even more authentic.
