Vintage Ship Wheel Wall Clock Brass and Wood

Picture walking into your living room or stepping onto your boat and seeing this handsome ship’s wheel on the wall, quietly telling the time with that lovely nautical charm. Our ship wheel wall clock is one of those pieces that makes people stop and smile every single time. It brings a proper touch of the sea into homes and spaces across the UK and Europe without being too big or overpowering.

Yes, this clock is perfect for sailors, coastal families or anyone who simply loves classic maritime style. It looks beautiful, feels well made and works quietly in the background while adding real character to the room.

Crafted from Solid Wood and Brass

The wheel itself is made from solid wood with lovely visible grain that has been hand-sanded smooth and given several coats of lacquer for a gentle gloss. The eight spokes end in polished brass tips, and the centre holds a smart brass bezel around the working clock face. At 4 kilograms it feels nicely heavy and premium – nothing flimsy or lightweight here.

Every detail copies the classic steering wheels you would find on traditional ships. The combination of warm wood and shining brass gives it that timeless captain’s-quarter look. Because it is a high-quality reproduction, you get the authentic maritime feel without needing a real antique from a ship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pack and send the ship wheel wall clock?

Yes, we wrap it carefully in protective foam and place it in a strong box. Every order to the UK and Europe is fully insured and tracked so it arrives safely at your door.

Q: Is this a real old ship wheel or a new reproduction?

It is a high-quality new reproduction made in the classic style of authentic ship steering wheels. You get the beautiful wood grain, brass details and solid feel of the originals, but as a fresh piece that is ready to enjoy straight away.

Q: Does the clock actually work?

Yes, the central clock is a proper working timepiece with Roman numerals and classic hands. It runs on a standard battery and keeps accurate time so it is both decorative and useful.

Q: Is it easy to hang on the wall?

It hangs simply from a single sturdy hook or screw. At 60 centimetres across it makes a lovely statement without needing special brackets. Many customers put it above a fireplace, in a hallway or on a boat bulkhead.

Q: Can I order one for a gift or buy several?

Yes, we are happy to sort single gifts or bulk orders for yacht clubs, offices or special presents. Just send us a message and we will help with pricing and delivery.

Q: How do I keep it looking nice?

A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps the wood and brass clean. The lacquer finish means the wood stays protected, and a gentle brass polish brings extra shine to the accents whenever you feel like it. The natural wood grain actually improves with time.
