Genuine Salvaged Brass Nautical Taffrail Log

This vintage brass taffrail log comes from old cargo vessels that sailed from the 1950s to the 1980s. Made from solid marine-grade brass with a single sheave and rope, it’s designed for measuring ship speed and distance – strong and reliable, just like the originals used for safe navigation at sea.

At 1.7 kg, it has that proper heavy feel you expect from real ship equipment – premium build quality that’s far better than lightweight modern copies. Carefully salvaged and restored in Europe, it keeps the original vintage patina but is ready for today’s decorative use.
